Mr Naveen Jindal founded the OP Jindal Global University, India’s only University dedicated to Steel Technology and Management with an aim to develop young professionals and future leaders who will not only power growth and development in the state, but also make a mark globally.
The focus of OPJU is strongly linked to the needs of steel and affiliated industries. In order to meet the requirements of the industry, OPJU works closely with industry professionals to seek guidance and support consistent with the University's mission and objectives. The industry advisory board actively assists OPJU in achieving its academic and research goals through industry leadership, cooperation, feedback and acquisition of technical and other support.
At the age of 6, Naveen Jindal began his riding lessons when his father gave him a horse as a birthday present. He emerged as a prolific rider and focused his attention on polo.
The Jindal Steel & Power polo team became a reality and an integral part of the Indian polo circuit. Being an accomplished player and an irrepressible polo enthusiast, he became the driving force behind the multiple successes of the Jindal team.
