In December 2006, Mr. Naveen Jindal moved a private member Bill seeking formulation and implementation of Comprehensive Food and Nutrition Security Scheme aiming at total eradication of hunger from the Country. This private member bill became the basis for the Food Security Act.
At the age of 6, Naveen Jindal began his riding lessons when his father gave him a horse as a birthday present. He emerged as a prolific rider and focused his attention on polo.
