In memory of his father, Shri Om Prakash Jindal, Mr Naveen Jindal founded the OP Jindal Global University (OPJGU) in his home state of Haryana, India, in 2009. He founded this University with a deep desire to impart quality education and to build a strong foundation for the future of India. Today, OPJGU ranks amongst the country’s most prestigious higher education institutions.

Man With a Mission

Mr. Naveen Jindal is also the patron of the OP Jindal University at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The University offers Engineering and Management courses in diverse disciplines, to further Mr Jindal’s vision of providing quality higher education.

For this and many other similar contributions to legal education and philanthropy, Mr Jindal was awarded Justice PN Bhagwati Award by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

Highlights

  • OPJGU is the youngest Indian University to feature in QS World University Rankings. It is also one of the only two Indian private universities ranked by QS in BRICS and ASIA.
  • The OP Jindal Global University is also the only private University in Haryana and one of the 2 private universities in India that has been granted the autonomy by the UGC.

As a testimony of his commitment in order to help India become the knowledge capital of the world, leader, he has also established OP Jindal schools and OP Jindal Community Centres in Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
